UNIUYO Post-UTME FAQ: Screening, Fees, Requirements

May 13, 2015 by Editoro Dennis 14 Comments

uniuyo post utme

Straight answers to the questions UNIUYO post-UTME candidates ask most, based on the University of Uyo’s current admissions notice. Where the official notice is silent, figures below are what third-party sites report for the 2026/2027 cycle — confirm them on the portal.

UNIUYO Post-UTME FAQ

What is the UNIUYO post-UTME?

It is the University of Uyo’s pre-admission screening. The official 2026/2027 notice describes online registration and document screening — you register on the admissions portal and upload your O’level. UNIUYO has not announced a separate aptitude test for this session, so watch the portal.

Who is eligible to apply?

Candidates who chose UNIUYO as their first choice in the 2026/2027 JAMB UTME and scored at least 150. Direct Entry candidates apply through the same portal. You also need at least five O’level credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings, and must be 16 by 30 September.

How much is the screening form?

The notice names Remita as the payment channel but does not print an amount; third-party sites report ₦2,000 for 2026/2027. It is non-refundable, so confirm the current fee on the portal before you pay.

Where do I register?

Only at the official portal, admissions.uniuyo.edu.ng. Click Apply Now, create an account with your JAMB number, email and phone, then generate an RRR and pay. See our step-by-step UNIUYO screening registration guide.

When does registration close?

The official notice does not print dates. Third-party sites reported a closing date of Friday, 7 August 2026 for 2026/2027 — confirm the live deadline on uniuyo.edu.ng before you rely on it.

Do I still sit a written or CBT exam?

The official 2026/2027 notice describes online registration and document screening; UNIUYO has not announced a separate aptitude test for this session. Watch the portal — if a screening exam is scheduled, it will be posted there.

What do I need to upload?

Your O’level result must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS. Third-party sites reported a 31 August 2026 deadline for 2026/2027; confirm it on the portal. Direct Entry candidates also scan and upload the original of their higher qualification (NCE, ND, A-Level or equivalent).

How is my admission score calculated?

When UNIUYO holds a screening exam, the reported formula is UTME÷8 + screening÷2. In sessions screened without an exam, ranking is based on your UTME score and O’level grades. Work a real example with our UNIUYO aggregate score guide.

What is the cut-off mark?

The general UTME minimum is 150, but competitive courses such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Law and Nursing need far higher aggregates, and the real departmental cut-off is set by demand each year. See the current figures on our UNIUYO cut-off mark page.

When are results and admission lists released?

UNIUYO publishes admission in batches on the portal and on JAMB CAPS through the admission season, rather than a single “results” date. Check both the UNIUYO portal and your CAPS dashboard, and accept your offer on CAPS once it appears.

Can I buy the form through an agent or cybercafé?

No. UNIUYO does not sell post-UTME forms through agents. The only valid route is admissions.uniuyo.edu.ng. Anyone at a cybercafé or on WhatsApp promising a form outside the portal is charging you for nothing and may enter wrong bio-data that disqualifies you.

Is UNIUYO admission based on merit?

Yes. Admission follows the aggregate merit list, and every admitted student pays the same fees regardless of state of origin. Wrong or inconsistent bio-data, not tribe, is what most often costs candidates their place.

What subject papers apply to my course?

Your relevant subjects follow your JAMB combination for the course. Confirm yours on our UNIUYO post-UTME subject combination list.

How do I reprint my screening slip?

Log back into your admissions portal account and reprint it. Full steps are in how to reprint your UNIUYO post-UTME slip.
