UNIUYO Direct Entry Admission Requirements

To apply to UNIUYO by Direct Entry you need at least five O’level credit passes (including English Language, and Mathematics where your course requires it) in not more than two sittings, plus one higher qualification: an A’level (GCE Advanced Level) in two relevant subjects, an OND/ND, HND, NCE, IJMB, or a first degree. You must also have chosen UNIUYO as your first choice on the JAMB Direct Entry form and pay the ₦2,000 screening fee. UNIUYO Direct Entry requirements

You qualify for Direct Entry admission into UNIUYO if you meet both of these:

  1. O’level: at least five (5) credit passes at SSCE/GCE O’Level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB), including English Language, in no more than two sittings. Mathematics is required for science, engineering, medical and business-related courses.
  2. One advanced qualification from the list below.

Accepted Direct Entry qualifications

  • GCE Advanced Level (A’level) in at least two relevant subjects
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND/ND) at Upper or Lower Credit from a recognised institution
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) at Upper or Lower Credit from a recognised institution
  • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with a minimum of merit in the relevant subject(s)
  • IJMB or JUPEB result in the relevant subjects
  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university

Your qualification must be relevant to the course you are applying for. UNIUYO does not accept second-choice Direct Entry candidates, so confirm the University is your first choice on the JAMB portal before you register. Source: UNIUYO Undergraduate Admissions.

How to apply for UNIUYO Direct Entry

Registration is done online on the UNIUYO admissions portal. The screening fee is a non-refundable ₦2,000, plus small Remita charges. Steps:

  1. Go to the UNIUYO e-portal at eportals.uniuyo.edu.ng (or admissions.uniuyo.edu.ng).
  2. Click Admission Forms, then select Direct Entry.
  3. Enter your JAMB Direct Entry registration number, email and phone number.
  4. Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and pay the ₦2,000 with an ATM card, internet banking, or at any bank branch.
  5. Return to the portal, click Register, enter your RRR and get your login details.
  6. Complete the bio-data form, upload your documents, then print your acknowledgement slip.

For the 2026/2027 session, registration closes on Friday, 7 August 2026 and the screening exercise is scheduled from 21 August to 9 September 2026. Dates change every session, so confirm the current window on the portal.

Documents to upload / bring for screening

  1. Original and photocopies of your O’level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
  2. Original and photocopy of your advanced qualification (A’level, ND, HND, NCE, IJMB or degree certificate/statement of result).
  3. Your JAMB Direct Entry result slip.
  4. A recent passport photograph with your DE registration number and signature written at the back.
  5. Your printed UNIUYO online registration/acknowledgement slip.

Keep the same passport photograph you used during registration for every later stage. Any mismatch in names across your certificates should be backed by an affidavit, as inconsistent details can hold up your admission.

    Good morning. I made 8points in my ijmb exam. Can I apply for admission into medicine and surgery with that point or should I go for nursing. Also, I wish to be sure of the acceptance of the IJMB certificate as a requirement for admission. Thanks
